TOPIC: Geocache of the Month - July 2012

Re: Geocache of the Month - July 2012 1 year 1 week ago #1026

I might second that. I have the final coordinates but have not been yet so cannot comment on the final. I have also found the Worldwide cache which I sort of prefered as there was only one waypoint- no stress issues with getting out there. Luckily I found the Worldwide Cache on the day of the coordinates being sent to me. Ironically I was in Africa later that year and ironically we were within 100m of the remote Africa stage but did not have the coordinates :pinch: . Quite annoyed with myself :( .

My vote, however, goes to Postcards to New Zealand. I found that I built a personal relationship with my partner. We got to know alot about our partner and put trust in them. It was a close vote but I'd probably have to go with that. The waypoints are spectacular, and on both sides of the harbour. The final, a shortish walk has some breathtaking views.

Thanks Spindoc for bumping my comment.

And the latest cache has been added to the bookmark

Nominations are now open for the July 2012 geocache of the Month.

Remember there's no voting or exhaustive committee process. All you have to do is post a note in the Geocaching NSW forums about a cache you think deserves the Geocache of the Month award. Tell us why you think it deserves the award. It doesn't have to be a geocache hiden or found in the past 30 days.

BTW - You can renominate a cache that was put forward, but didn't win.

I'll throw a few caches in the mix,

coord.info/GC13AFF - 1000 Young
Such spectacular views over Wollongong. Day or night this is a cache not to be missed with a little twist at the end.

coord.info/GCYB0Y - Sandhills FM
A great use of technology and a cache that has been around for nearly 6 years and has stood the test of time.

coord.info/GC2AET3 - one shy of enigmatic
A tough bugger of a puzzle and one that set the bar for Sydney puzzle caches. Great use of multi layer encryption

coord.info/GC22465 - Rubik's Tube V - Excalibolt
An amazingly constructed cache and a great series culminating in this final cache.

coord.info/GC2Y866 - the Qrubicle
A very well constructed cache with a number of steps that tie in well to allow you to sign the log.

That's a bit of a cross section across the state.

I'd second that but... I don't have the required software to complete one shy of...
